Faculty of Physiotherapy in association with Indian Association of Physiotherapy (IAP) and IAP Women Cell Haryana, district Gurugram which is mentored by Dr. Niti Khurana (Haryana Coordinator, IAPWC), Dr. Sheetal Kalra ( IAPWC Joint Coordinator Haryana), Dr. Priyanka Rishi(IAPWC District Coordinator and Associate professor at Faculty of Physiotherapy, SGT Univerisity) and Dr. Juhi Saxena (District Co-coordinator, IAPWC) has organized a hands on workshop on ‘’Therabands in Physiotherapy’’ on April 30, 2022 in Faculty of Physiotherapy. The resource person for the day was Dr. Deepak Malhotra from Jamia Hamdard University. He was welcomed by Dr. Pooja Anand (Dean FPHY) and Dr. Shyam Lal Singhla (Advisor and Director, simulation training pedagogy & E lecture). Sir addressed the gathering and presented sapling to the IAPWC members and resource person. Dr. Deepak initially explained by giving presentation on the significance of all the priniciples of using theraband in rehabilitation while giving the practical demonstration of the technique to the students. Students practiced the taught techniques under the supervision of Dr. Deepak. Learning this advancement by sir was another feather to the wings of physiotherapy students. All the doubts of participants were clarified by the resource person with adequate justification. All the students received their certificate of participation by Dr. Deepak and other team members. Vote of thanks and momento was given to the resource person by Dr. Priyanka Rishi on behalf of Faculty of Physiotherapy and IAPWC Haryana who coordinanted the whole event.
