Faculty of Physiotherapy in association with IQAC, SGT University organised Alumni Meet-2022 on 13 August 2022 at 11AM to 1PM. The event started on the Webex Meeting platform at 11AM with the welcome note delivered by Dr. Vinika Chaudhary, Assistant Professor and requested Dean FPHY to address the students. Dean and professor, Dr. Pooja Anand interacted with alumni and talked about the new opportunities in the field of Physiotherapy. Dr. Karishma Chawla, Assistant Professor, FPHY hosted in the event. Dr. Hari Om Vashishtha, alumni shared his memories and present work profile. Alumni Pankaj shared his experience of being a bright student and now proudly working at the same place as a colleague in SGT medical and research college. PhD Alumni and Former Associate Dean of FPHY, SGT University, Dr. Sheetal Kalra gave best wishes to her juniors and fellow alumnus. PhD alumni Dr. Gitanjali discussed about the hardship she dealt with and how her guide helped and provided the direction in gaining skills and confidence. Dr. Saurabh (Assistant Professor and Placement Coordinator) addressed the alumnus and explained them the role of Corporate Resource Centre. He also helped them in understanding placement opportunities provided by the Faculty of Physiotherapy in various renowned hospitals, Universities and MNCs. The surprise element was the heart touching video of moments captured in the SGT University which was also played during this event for the alumnus of the Faculty of Physiotherapy. After this video everyone was feeling nostalgic and started sharing their short stories related to the video. Dr. Niharika MPT alumni shared her beautiful moment when she went to an organisation for the interview, and they appreciated her for being a part of such a passionate and active University. Dr. M. Avanti shared how her teachers used to motivated her to find solutions and conquer in odd situations as well. she also mentioned how this thing helping her even now in staying strong and motivated in life every day. She also cherished the moments when they used to participate in various events and competitions which build the quality of teamwork and the technique of working efficiently out of one’s comfort zone. Dr. Ashima our MPT Alumni, utilised the event for thanking her faculty members for providing her the support and guidance through out her journey of post-graduation. Dr. Sonia (Associate Professor, FPHY) coordinated and managed the whole event beautifully. Approximately 60 alumni joined and relived their college moments in the Alumni Meet 2022. Faculty members also shared their experiences with these alumni. Along with the funny and special moment sharing, a healthy discussion about the alumni redressal and the change they want to see in the department for the future betterment was also welcomed by Dean FPHY. Although it was hard to cease trail of beautiful memories, but the event was ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Shweta Sharma (Assistant Professor) and Dr. Pooja Anand (Dean and Professor). She also suggested to be in touch, continue this relation and try to keep the flag of SGT University high.
